ESTEBAN TURCO
Violinist - Secretary of the Buenos Aires Symphonic Orchestra

Maestro Roel’s technique is impeccable.
Earned during his soloist years, his profound understanding of orchestra dynamics makes him an exemplary conductor with great expertise in musical forms and orchestration.
His masterful control of the many forces under his baton is accurate and clear, yet never obtrusive of the performer’s expressive intentions.
Roel is a dedicated scholar of the works he conducts.
I have had the honor to be under his baton several times.
As orchestra musician, I can assure that Roel is blessed with the ability to turn any work under his baton into a new interpretation, since his music is a permanent flow of life among each orchestra member.
Under the baton of Enrique Roel, the Buenos Aires Symphonic Orchestra has had the privilege of performing Tchaikovsky's Concerto for Violin and Orchestra, Bizet’s Carmen Suite, and Mozart and Brahms’ works among others.
I further had the pleasure of been invited to participate in two concerts by his “ENCONCIERTO” Orchestra, where Maestro Roel conducted Atterberg’s Suite for Violin, as well as other works of his own.
In commemoration of the 30th Anniversary of the Buenos Aires Symphonic Orchestra, it will be our deepest honor to have Maestro Roel guest conducting one of our concertos during the 2006 Season.
