I feel special proud in having witnessed Roel rocketing up throughout these years.
Works like By-Pass clearly capture the artist’s message, at the same time sustained by the pulse created by the adequate environment throughout the composition.
In Tiempo de giros, Enrique presents a wide range of percussion instruments with great ability in the election of effects and changing colors that keep the listener’s interest inalterable.
His Double Concerto is one of my favorite works since it shows how much he knows about the piano with which he develops a beautiful counterpoint, at the same time keeping a great balance with the rest of the orchestration. Doubtless, Enrique Roel’s varied works have made him one of the most salient modern composers in Argentina.
